About Me
Over the course of my career, I’ve focused not just on building software, but on building strong, high-functioning engineering teams. At Q2 Solutions, I grew from Senior Software Engineer to Technical Lead and Project Supervisor, where I led remote teams of up to eight engineers. I prioritized creating a culture of mentorship, collaboration, and code quality—introducing group code walkthroughs, pair programming, and setting high standards for Pythonic code and test coverage. One of my proudest accomplishments was helping the team launch the company’s first production cloud database, while also driving improvements in reliability and usability for our genomics analysis tools in AWS.
Before Q2, I worked across several industries—from biotech to telecom—where I consistently found myself bridging technical work with team support and process improvement. At United Therapeutics, I helped a biomedical engineering team transition to Agile and continuous delivery, and even designed and taught a Python course for scientists and lab staff. Whether it was working on full-stack web apps at AT\&T or refactoring automation scripts at Cisco, I’ve always focused on creating reusable, testable solutions while helping those around me grow. Building great software starts with building a great team, and that’s been a consistent throughline in everything I do.
